Tell us something about your education and professional career before joining D.B. Group

Prior to working for the D.B. Group, I began my career in sales in different business industries. During my previous experience, I developed an interest in trade markets and geopolitical evolution of global economy. This led to my interest in the field and applying to the D.B. Group

Why did you decide to join D.B. and apply for the Global Talents Programme?

I decided to join D.B. and apply for the Global Talents Programme because I wanted to be part of a ever-developing company and learn new skills and methods that could help me develop professionally within this field.

During your training in the Headquarters you had the chance to learn different things, both technical and ideological. Which are the main ones that you feel you took advantage of once in the US?

The Global Talents Programme helped me develop the knowledge and organizational skills to work in a more efficient way. The training helped me find ways to save time while completing my tasks by utilizing good time management skills. In addition, I had the possibility to learn how to be mentally flexible in difficult situations and how to look for favorable chances also in challenging moments.

Which are the main differences that you found between D.B. Italy and D.B. America?

The main difference I have found from working in D. B. America is that things here are a little bit more hands on, which has helped me in my professional life. In D.B. Group America we are a very agile and proactive team, we share information and work closely to find the best solution for each customer; thus, we are able to gain firsthand view on what is needed to solve our issues internally.

While relocating: the most difficult and the most thrilling things.

The most difficult thing about relocating was getting familiar with such a large spread out area and adapting and creating a life without my family.  The most thrilling thing about relocating was meeting such incredible people: it is filled with so many driven and inspiring people with a variety of jobs. In addition, I learned to really enjoy the outdoors and being able to go from any part of LA and end up in the mountains or at the beach in a short amount of time is amazing.  Lastly, the diversity of people: here different cultures hit you constantly and make you explore new foods, arts, music.

Which are the main achievements that you particularly remember with pleasure?

I don’t have one specific achievement that I would remember with specific pleasure. In my opinion, the overall relocation was a major accomplishment in my life. I faced many new challenges from establishing stability, to creating a social life, to discovering new passions, as the one for outdoor sports.
