Following our previuous communications on this matter, we inform you that, on May 13, 2019, the USTR released a further list (List 4) of import goods with origin China on which it is proposing to impose additional tariffs up to 25%. It includes all apparel, footwear, and manufactured textile products, among others, but excludes pharmaceuticals, certain pharmaceutical inputs, select medical goods, rare earth materials, and critical minerals.
The tariff hike on List 4 commodities could be implemented any time after June 24, 2019, in any amount up to 25 percent, on top of the regular rate of duty, and companies that may be involved can ask for clarification to the authority.
Furthermore, companies can file for an exclusion for their products. Instructions to list are available here
